First of all, Rest Haven Homes is a Christ-centered home. We strive to create an atmosphere where the Lord Jesus Christ will be honored and where those we serve will feel at home and find support for both physical and spiritual needs. Then we strive to be a true home. We firmly believe that our residents do not live in a facility, but rather we work in their home.
What sets Rest Haven Homes apart from other communities for senior care is our Community of Faith, Atmosphere of Love and Tradition of Caring.
Community of Faith
Communities are made up of people, housing, relationships but more than anything a community gets defined by their faith. At Rest Haven Homes we strive to live out the Gospel message, “by love serve one another”. The result is a God-given community of faith that builds people up.
Our meals begin with a quick devotional and prayer, with most of our activities having a spiritual component. We have Sunday services, Bible studies, hymn sings, concerts and missionary reports, to name a few.
Atmosphere of Love
We often hear “there is something different at this home”. We more than admit residents, we welcome each family member to become a part of our family. There is a true sense of love with how our staff serve the residents and families entrusted to our care.
Our mission is symbolized in the overlapping of two hearts in a perfect balance. The words “by love serve one another” are not fulfilled simply by residents coming to Rest Haven Homes to be served and blessed, but we find that as we serve, we are blessed in return. Our love extends to staff who care and serve each other. Our hearts are warmed and strengthened by the dear ones God sends to join our family.
Tradition of Caring
Since 1941 nearly a thousand residents have lived at Rest Haven Homes. Each resident’s care is orchestrated by highly trained staff through a personalized service plan, with a goal of maintaining and enhancing each resident’s quality of life.
We have cared for three generations of families, parents of administrators and board members, members of the founding family, leaders in the community and former staff members.
